Healthy Tiramisu Rolled Oats Recipe

Guilt Free Tiramisu Overnight Oats with a Double Espresso

If you love the flavors of tiramisu but want something easier, healthier, and perfect for breakfast (or dinner dessert), these Tiramisu Overnight Oats are your dream come true. They are creamy, satisfying, and taste like dessert, but they come together in minutes the night before. Even better, we are swapping the usual brewed coffee for a rich, flavorful double shot of our After Dark Drip Decaf espresso, so you get all the deep coffee notes of classic tiramisu without the caffeine jitters.

That means you can enjoy these overnight oats in the morning without a crash or use them as a mindful dessert any time of day. Whether you’re starting your day or finishing dinner, this recipe lets you indulge without compromise.

What Makes These Tiramisu Overnight Oats Special?

This recipe takes the traditional overnight oats formula and elevates it with bold, smooth espresso flavor. By using our After Dark Drip as a double espresso, you get a concentrated coffee taste that blends perfectly with creamy oats and a subtle hint of cocoa. Adding a swirl of Greek yogurt provides tangy creaminess similar to the mascarpone layer in tiramisu, while a dusting of cocoa powder on top ties everything together.  Not to mention, this "dessert" contains the nutrient powerhouse of chia seeds.

Why Use After Dark Drip Decaf?

Our After Dark Drip delivers the deep, nutty, chocolatey notes you crave in coffee but without the caffeine. Using it in this recipe lets you enjoy the bold espresso taste of tiramisu without worrying about staying up or feeling jittery. Plus, After Dark Drip is lower in acidity, making it easier on your stomach than traditional espresso. This turns your overnight oats into a mindful option you can enjoy any time—even as dessert.

decaf coffee tiramisu overnight oats ingredients

Ingredients for Tiramisu Overnight Oats with After Dark Drip

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 double shot of After Dark Drip decaf espresso (about 36 g). Or can do extremely strong brewed coffee and use slightly less milk.
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (divided)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds for creaminess and extra fiber
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder plus extra for dusting
  • Optional: dark chocolate shavings, fresh berries, or crushed ladyfingers for serving

Instructions

  1. Brew a double shot of After Dark Drip espresso using your favorite espresso machine or moka pot (or just make a really concentrated pour over or immersion).
  2. In a large mason jar (if you are using one) or medium bowl mix together oats, milk, After Dark Drip espresso, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, vanilla, and chia seeds.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least six hours or overnight.
  4. Gently combine 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt and the remaining 1 tablespoon of maple syrup. Then add a layer of the sweetened Greek yogurt on top for extra creaminess and dust generously with cocoa powder. Top with berries or dark chocolate if desired.
  5. Enjoy chilled straight from the fridge.

How Does the After Dark Drip Change the Recipe?

Using a double espresso instead of brewed coffee provides a stronger, smoother coffee flavor that doesn’t water down your oats. With After Dark Drip decaf, you can enjoy the same depth without adding extra caffeine. This makes the recipe perfect for mornings when you want a gentle start or evenings when you crave dessert but don’t want to stay awake all night.  If you don't have a Moka pot or espresso machine, you have just brew a really strong coffee (just make sure to adjust the amount of milk you add so there isn't too much liquid).

Tips for Perfect Overnight Oats

  • Use rolled oats, not quick oats: They maintain a better texture overnight and do not become mushy.
  • Chia seeds add creaminess: They absorb liquid and thicken the oats, giving a luxurious, pudding-like consistency.
  • Adjust sweetness: If you like sweeter oats, add another tablespoon of maple syrup or honey.
  • Double the recipe: Overnight oats keep well in the fridge for up to five days, making them perfect for meal prep.

Why This Makes a Mindful Dessert

These overnight oats taste like dessert but include protein, fiber, and healthy fats. By using After Dark Drip decaf espresso, you avoid caffeine jitters, making them an ideal treat at night. The combination of whole grains, Greek yogurt, and minimal added sugar also supports better blood sugar balance compared to typical sweets. It’s proof you don’t have to sacrifice flavor to enjoy a nourishing dessert.
